Fire-System Bypass Testing
$45 per bypass assembly, in addition to the main assembly price. Bypass assemblies do not count toward volume tiers. Example: one 4-inch main assembly with one bypass is $270 standard or $260 under a three-year agreement.
Repairs and Return Testing

Materials are additional and itemized on your invoice. KCCB offers simple rebuilds only for assemblies 2 inches and smaller. Repairs to larger assemblies, assembly replacement, and other plumbing repairs must be arranged with a plumber.
Preapproved Repairs and Same-Visit Retesting
For assemblies 2 inches and smaller, if you preapprove the rebuild and the necessary parts are available, KCCB can rebuild and retest during the initial testing visit. Same-visit retesting is included. If parts must be ordered, a separate visit is required and the return-testing fee applies, in addition to rebuild labor and materials.
If a simple rebuild is unsuccessful and a plumber must replace the assembly, you pay only for the initial test; attempted repair charges are waived. The plumber bills separately for replacement.

Half-price testing uses that assembly’s original testing charge, including its volume or agreement rate and size charge. Rebuild labor and materials are separate.
After-Hours, Consulting, Payment, and Scheduling
Rush and After-Hours
2× the applicable testing rate. The multiplier applies once, after volume or agreement rates and assembly add-ons. Subject to availability; a request does not confirm an appointment.
Cross-Connection Control
Hazard assessments, surveys, CCCP development and updates, specialist-of-record services, and ongoing program support receive written custom proposals. Consulting rate: $150/hour.
Payment and Scheduling
Individual customers pay upon completion. Property managers, HOAs, and water systems under an agreement receive Net 30 terms. Payment instructions are provided with your invoice.
No geographic testing surcharge. No cancellation or inaccessible-device fee currently applies. Please arrange access and notify us if your plans change. Three-year agreements cover annual testing, with renewal pricing provided before year four. Repair labor and materials remain at current rates.
